It
is rapidly becoming an open secret that Saquarema is one of Brazil’s
most privileged towns: Only 80 kms north of Rio de Janeiro, 20 kms
of white sandy beaches, four big saltwater lagoons and surrounded
by green mountains. Now imagine the best place in Saquarema:
between Saquarema and Bacaxa, the commercial centre, there is a hill
overlooking the lagoons with views right up to the sea. This hill
is Morro da Cruz (Cross Hill) adjacent to a panoramic
lookout point. The residence lies in a traffic-free road and there
are only five houses: an American, a Belgian couple, two Brazilians
and your house. Just behind these is the house of the Coca Cola executive
(you can hear his helicopter arriving from Rio two times a day).
The house is built on plot sloping down to the lagoon. The entrance
is at second-floor level adjacent to the 2-car parking
area and leads to a large veranda with access to the kitchen/diner
and to the living room. There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on this
floor.
The lower (garden) level is in a poor state of decorative
order but there is plenty of scope to create additionally 2 bedrooms
and 2 bathrooms (already in place) overlooking the garden space which
is ideally positioned for the installation of a swimming pool to take
advantage of the magnificent views.
The house is situated in a very privileged location and the
price is more than reasonable. With some expenditure and
creativity this could be a fantastic house with a unique view. Locally,
Morro da Cruz is considered to be an up-market residential area. Whenever
a house comes on to the market here at a fair price we recommend it
to our clients to buy with confidence! Approx.
