It
is rapidly becoming an open secret that Saquarema is one of Brazil’s
most privileged towns: Only 80 kms north of Rio de Janeiro, 20 kms
of white sandy beaches, four big saltwater lagoons and surrounded
by green mountains. Now imagine the best place in Saquarema:
between Saquarema and Bacaxa, the commercial centre, there is a hill
overlooking the lagoons with views right up to the sea. This hill
is Morro da Cruz (Cross Hill) adjacent to a panoramic
